A POLITICAL MOVEMENT IS BORN: NO EURO
ROME, 3 October 2005 - AgenParl - Yesterday in Milan there was the
extraordinary congress of the Movement No Euro. The assembly
elected national secretary Renzo Rabellino. The honorary
presidency was assigned to the economist Nino Galloni.
At the conclusion of the intense activities the neo secretary Rabellino
declared to the agenparl: "Will Be mattering to be present in all Italy
to the next political elections, collecting true signatures in all of
the country. We pledge ourselves not to carry out agreement with
the center right and the center left one. The quorum of 4% is
difficult to surpass, but we know that in other European countries the
euroskeptics count until 20% of the electorate.
Besides a recent survey assigns us almost 3% of the approvals. In
the next years - it concluded Rabellino - we will help the people to
include that the Europe is not a dogma, that is possible to go out from
the euro, that is possible to support the complementary-to-the-euro
currencies and that, continuing in the deliberate direction suggested
by Prodi and by Ciampi we will meet the bankruptcy".
During the intense activities of constitution of the movement "no euro"
the economist Nino Galloni proposed an extraordinary emission of new
lira to face the inadequacy of the income of the Italian families: "is
possible to emit a national coin not having characteristic of reserve
of the value, but that serves only to buy goods and services and to
solve the problem of the income in the fourth week of the month.
The new lira is not an alternate to the euro, it has date limited
function, and would have to beeing destined to the subordinate workers,
to the retired people and to the university students up-to-date with
the studies. So it is not a subsidy, but a completion of the
income; would be destined alone to the worthy; has been useful to give
back except for suitable the sunken work and the irregularity.
The measure of itself around 33% of the low and middle incomes is have
to go around-low, therefore about 400-600 thousand new lira to the
month (the half for the university in rule with the
examinations). The emission would be able to be carried out from
two main social security authorities (of the public workers and of
those private citizens) that also should provide to send house the
banknotes to be nationally circulated : the cost of such operation
(printing of the banknotes and shipping) it is gone around on 7-8
millions of euro, while the face value - that is the development of the
capacity of expenditure - will be of about 170 thousand billion new
Liras. At the beginning this currency will be spent along the chain of
the distributions feed and apparel; the vendors will accept them as
much as they in turn can use it, to buy first and half-finished raw
materials. Obviously the products, ended and intermediate, will
be only those of local and national production because the cc is not of
such acceptable value abroad. After some years of
experimentation, such currency would be able to be declared convertible
or, a time stabilized the greater novelty level pay of the occupied
workers, to be accepted - for the payment of the pension contributions
- from the same social security authorities issuing that, therefore,
would provide to it definitive trasforming, in the actual budgets, in
euro. To the moment of its introduction, upon adequate
preparation and a certain social agreement, such currency will not
provoke inflation effects because will find, immediately, overfull
warehouses of food and of apparel and will stimulate, later on, an
increase of the production".
